Foxing generally confined to the first and last few pages of both volumes, damp tide mark stains affecting the top plain edges of the frontispiece…s of both volumes. Small inscriptions dated June, 1902 in both volumes on the front free end papers. Illustrated with numerous portraits, photographs, facsimile letters etc., all are present as caled for in the contents list but the frontispiece for Volume One is loose (illustrator).
