This copy is an unpublished manuscript of Captain Niels Peter Thomsen's life from the years 1907-1939. It contains a version of the already published Voyage of the Barkentine Forest Dream with additional correspondences, information, and scanned documents. Part one consists of Thomsen's life between 1907 and 1927. Three poems at the beginning of the book titled Life, My Two Lives, and My Winter Prayer, as well as two poems at the end titled Torment and My Legacy, the latter of the two includes author's own illustrations, all signed by Thomsen. A handwritten dedication to Thomsen's grandson, Peter, is in the forward as well. 222 pp. 9 1/2 x 11 inches.
