Sm. 8vo., Fourth Edition, with 2 full-page plans in the text and large folding map in pocket at end; original red cloth, boards with multiple frame border in blind, upper board and backstrip lettered in gilt, red sprinkled edges, expertly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, a remarkably bright, clean, firm copy. With the nineteenth century engraved armorial bookplate of William Thomas Laird Patterson on front paste-down, advertisement endpapers and 76pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. Bennett p.212 (recording the first and subsequent editions starting in 1858).
