Condition: Good. 1961. First Edition. 63 pages. Illustrated paper cover with lettering. Textblock is in Russian with some English. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. Binding remains firm. Paper covers have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and curling to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Minor wear marks to boards.

Condition: Good. 1961. 64 pages. Red and black cloth. Printed in Russian. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Cloth cover is lightly rub worn and thumbed with light shelf wear to edges and corners. Light creases to corners and spine. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. A proof copy - according to the front cover: a 'Methuen Proof copy uncorrected' (main image). In fact, it has been corrected in places (mainly with pencil asterisks and on one occasion in red ink - see images). The book was published with the cooperation of the Association of Russian Teachers. It is aimed at students studying Russian and features an impressive array of 60 excerpts in English from the works of famous authors (from Robert Graves, D. H. Lawrence, Katherine Mansfield to P. G. Wodehouse, John Reed, Winston Churchill etc); followed by lists of relevant phrases translated into Russian. pp. 64/130 x 200 mm). Condition: Some edgewear, pencil marking on front cover - which consists of thick paper or thin card (image). Internally - the pages are mildly to moderately tanned with occasional spotting; more evident on the preliminary and final ones.
