(1) "Under Siege - Time, wind and sand are the besiegers whose attacks have sculpted the ruins of this 16th century Portuguese fort, standing in the unsparing sun on Muharraq Island, Bahrain. The islands of the small Persian Gulf nation, part of the Union of Arab Emirates, abound in such ruins". / (2) "Prehistoric Graveyard - Tens of thousands of mysterious Copper Age burial mounds undulate over the main island of Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf. They are believed to mark the site of the legendary lost city of Dilmun. They certainly form the largest and best preserved historic graveyard in the world".
