Very good clean firm interior, no usage marks or inscriptions, faint tone to e/papers and slight/small age mark to prelim pages, contains numerous colour illustrations, very good-plus clean firm cloth boards; d/jacket has average shelf wear for the age, toned to spine area, a little dulled overall with nicks to extremities but no large tears and decent appearance mostly for the age, covered with a new removable sleeve-protector, not price-clipped.

Condition: VERY GOOD. First printing. "These doggerel rhymes were written. to make easier for a small boy the remembering of his English dates".I was told that I only had to remember 1066, but if a child wants to remember 1199 (the signing of the Magna Carta) or 1485 (Henry Tudor became king), this is certainly a useful book. Illustrated in duo-tone. 115 pp plus a l'envoi. Very good+ in yellow cloth covers (neat gift inscription in German on front endpaper.).
