The book has some rubbing to the corners and spine ends, light shelf soil and edge yellowing to the covers, good hinges, sound text block, lightly foxed endpapers, some occasional margin soil to the pages, no names or other markings. Hinges and gutters are solid, no shadowing or foxing of endpapers or textblock. Upper edge tinted coppery red. Very slight darkening of the edges. Line illustrations throughout the text. No ownership or other markings. Small bookseller stamp lower corner of back paste-down, "Hudson's Book Shop, Detroit". Unclipped DJ has sunned at the spine, also rubbing mostly near hinges. Lower third of front section has creased with small tears, no missing material. Light edge chipping, mostly upper - near spine. Three color illustration of front cover, back section features author photo and short biography. Small tear upper edge, no missing material. Floral sticker added to the upper edge of the back flap.
