Dr G?rard J. Morel has been stationed in West Africa - in Senegal - for some twenty years, engaged in ornithological research under the auspices of the Office de la Recherche Scientifique et Technique Outre-Mer (ORSTOM). In this book he is mainly concerned with the birds of the dry savanna in the thorn scrub and sub-desert zones.
