The work was translated by George Moore and is illustrated with classical etchings by Ruth Reeves. Ms. Reeves (1892 to 1966) was an American painter, artist and textile designer. She signed the book at the end. This is a Limited Editions Club edition from 1934, and only 1,500 copies were printed. This is the 13th copy from the press run, as note above Ms. Reeves signature. The book is covered with tan leathers, with embossed Greek boarder or a meander around the cover's edges, with an embossed, gilt medallion of the main characters on the front and gilt lettering on the spine. The book is 8.5 x 11.5-inches and is 130 pages on cream stock withal pages with deckle edges. There is a thin line of foxing around edges of the end papers where the leather made contact with the paper, but the text block is clean. Condition Estimate Used/Very Good: Shows some small signs of edge wear on dust jacket, but no tears on the binding or pages.
