With the armorial bookplate of "Right Honorable Sir Robert Peel, Bart.", (1788-1850) the… British statesman and twice Prime Minister, in volumes I & II [removed from vol. III]. With a second armorial bookplate in each volume reading "Mary Rawson Amen, Memorial Collection, The Gift of Harlan Page Amen". Harlan Page Amen (1853-1913) was an American educator and Principal of Phillips Exeter Academy from 1895 to 1913. This set was deaccessioned from the Phillips Exeter Academy, with the usual library markings, which includes a back pocket and label on the back cover.
