A good example of fine Victorian binding with titles rather worn on the spine. Raised bands. Contents clean, crisp and unmarked apart from neat previous owner's name on ffep of volume one. A nice old set of this uncommon first edition. Originally preached as a series of sermons, M'Ghee provides practical explanation and exposition of the text through a series of fifty-two critical lectures. M'Ghee moves verse-by-verse through practical application while drawing upon hermeneutics to clarify the intent of the passage. "Lively, warm-hearted, extemporaneous sermons, full of good teaching.
