TENTH EDITION - 1938. 1231 pages. Hardcover: H 30.25cm x L 21.75cm. No dust jacket. Black cloth lightly rubbed with slight mottling; spine's gilt stamped lettering "Locomotive | Cyclopedia | 1938" remains vibrant; shallow cloth loss at frayed spine heel with lesser wear at head; board corners worn. Red text block edges. Some foxing/toning and light soiling to endpapers; ink ownership inscription on front pastedown; old tape repair to long jagged tear to pages 3-4; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Numerous b/w illustrations and diagrams throughout.
