Coon, pencilled his initials "CSC" in top corner of cover; top margin of the errata sheet, laid in loosely at front, has a stamp indicating that this volume was not accessioned by a Harvard University library; the back cover, likely a light-gray wrapper like the front cover, is gone; front cover has tape-removal marks next to spine, a chip in bottom fore-edge corner, a short closed tear at fore edge, and wear and soil; "4-21" written on cover; errata and the first leaf have two small pieces of clear tape at top; volume has small top-corner crease; tight, text clean. viii, 179, [6] p., illustrated. Interesting provenance. Oversize [otob: 21L].

Softcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Quarto. 179 [6] pp. Illustrated from black and white photographs of bones. Side-stapled printed card wrappers. Ownership stamp and signature of a noted American psychologist on the cover. Lacking the acetate backstrip, wrappers with some toning, light exterior wear, very good. "This report (.) is concerned with one of the principal identification methods available to the Army Graves Registration Service: the successful calculation of the age at death of an unidentified soldier" (from the opening letter). With a full-page errata sheet (toned) laid in. Technical Report EP-45; a rather haunting document.
