Paperback. Condition: New. Edited and co-ordinated by Sarah Lowndes, Like The Sea I Think is an enthralling collection of new marine writing from East Anglia gathered from library workshops and open submissions held across the region. It is wonderfully designed, as always, by Emily Benton, and available as a memento and inspiration for all those living by, inspired by, or curious about, the sea. It is our provider, our enemy, our defender, our gateway to the world; it defines our borders, informs our imaginations, it inspires our artists. The anthology features an incredible range of writing styles, subject matter, and authors; the youngest featured is 11, the eldest 87. The perfect companion on a Norfolk coastal walk punctuated by warm coffee shops and local pubs. The volume includes 55 contributions from Viv Allen . Roy Ballard . Molly Bernardin . Neil Bousfield . First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dorothy McKay (illustrator). 1st Edition. Stated First Edition. Flat-Signed by the author on the first front end paper (see photo). This is a story about several generations of a family living together in York, Pennsylvania. It is 262 pages long. There is a lot of dialogue. There are number of full-page black-and-white illustrations. It looks like it's geared toward teenagers and young adults. You can see the covers in the photographs provided. They have only minor wear, a crease at the front bottom right-hand corner, creased spine ends (second photo), and some darkening of the green at the margins. This book is very solidly bound, absolutely no issues in that regard. The interior of the book is in very nice condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. In scrolling through, I didn't see any soiling. I didn't see any conspicuous creasing. There aren't any markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signature, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in this book. Despite the rarity of the signature, I've priced the book quite modestly. Signed by Author(s).

Paperback. Condition: New. What does it feel like to encounter ourselves and one another as implicated subjects, both in our everyday lives and in the context of our work as clinicians, and how does this matter? With contributions from a diverse group of relational psychoanalytic thinkers, this book reads Michael Rothberg's concept of the implicated subject-the notion that we are continuously implicated in injustices even when not perpetrators-as calling us to elaborate what it feels like to inhabit such subjectivities in relation to others both similarly and differently situated. Implication and anti-Black racism are central to many chapters, with attention given to the unique vulnerability of racial minority immigrants, to Native American genocide, and to the implication of ordinary Israelis in the oppression of Palestinians. The book makes the case that the therapist's ongoing openness to learning of our own implication in enactments is central to a relational sensibility and to a progressive psychoanalysis. As a contribution to the necessary and long-overdue conversation within the psychoanalytic field about racism, social injustice, and ways to move toward a just society, this book will be essential for all relational psychoanalysts and psychotherapists.
