The successor to the Andrews Sisters was this pop music sensation of the 1950s and '60s often remembered for "Sincerely" (1955) and "Sugartime" (1957) and whose squeaky clean image became somewhat tarnished by the youngest sister's affair with mobster Sam Giancana; eldest sister Christine (born 1926) died in 2018 and middle sister Dottie (born 1928) in 2012. IPS (verso), heavy stock 5½" X 3½" picture postcard, n.p., n.y. Near fine. Delightful glossy photograph, a head-and-shoulders portrait of the trio at the height of their fame in matching polka-dotted hooded sweaters with chins in hands. Across the otherwise-blank verso with address and message portions, youngest sister Phyllis inscribes and signs large and bold in black ballpoint on behalf of all three: "To Donald, / Sincerely, / The McGuire Sisters / Chris, Phyllis, Dottie." Though not dated, both postcard and inscription hail from circa 1960. Choice.
