Jacket with light rubbing, slight chipping to spine ends, small closed tear to rear bottom edge. Very scarce, especially with the book in this condition and with the often lacking dust jacket. Marcy's account of his 1852 exploration of the territory extending from what is now central Oklahoma to New Mexico, first published in 1853. Editor Grant Foreman provides a 20 page scholarly and informative introduction. Book.
