Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition (Number Line to 1). As you can see from the photos, the covers are in excellent condition, very clean and pretty much free of any wear. The page edges are all very clean as well. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. I've scrolled through the pages a number of times. They are exceptionally clean and bright. In fact, I didn't see any soiling at all. The pages are also in excellent condition. The only crease I saw was a tiny bottom corner crease on the last two pages of text and the last three blank end papers. There are 439 pages. There are no markings in the book and no attachments of any kind. There is a pened date at the top right-hand corner of the title page (1/19/19). There is no other writing to be found anywhere in the book. 'Catholic health care is one of the key places where the church lives Catholic social teaching (CST). Yet the individualistic methodology of Catholic bioethics inherited from the manualist tradition has yet to incorporate this critical component of the Catholic moral tradition. Informed by the places where Catholic health care intersects with the diverse societal injustices embodied in the patients it encounters, this book brings the lens of CST to bear on Catholic health care, illuminating a new spectrum of ethical issues and practical recommendations from social determinants of health, immigration, diversity and disparities, behavioral health, gender-questioning patients, and environmental and global health issues.'.
