A volcanic eruption in the South Seas frees a long-dormant, 200-foot-tall mantis, which proceeds to make its way to the US. Filmmakers constructed a 200-foot-tall mantis for the film from papier-mâché, with a hydraulic system, in addition to two smaller models for different flying or walking effects. 10 x 8 inches.
