First edition in Yiddish chronicling the history of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. Bernard Ber Mark (1908-1966), a communist historian and later director of the Jewish Historical Institute, spent World War II in the Soviet Union. The book was published in Moscow by "Der Emes," a publishing house specializing in Yiddish literature.
