Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is the product of two months of earnest effort from a convention assembled to create a State Constitution for the proposed State of Utah. The convention largely sought guidance from the United States Constitution, with a Bill of Rights chapter heavily inspired by the original…. The section on education received an extensive amount of attention, with the explicit goal of safeguarding public schools. The legislative article contains provisions to limit legislative extravagance or misuse of authority, while the executive article seeks to define executive authority and establish necessary checks on power. The judiciary article's aim is twofold: to facilitate the effective operation of Utah's courts and to elevate the judiciary system. The Constitution proposed in this book ultimately provides for local self-governance and the establishment of a state with full sovereignty. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book takes a deep dive into the history of Robert Atterbury, an American painter whose work was largely unrecognized until late in his life. However, the author argues that Atterbury's simple, solemn compositions, which were once stigmatized as crude and grotesque, are now more pr…ized than the smoothest and most brilliant mural paintings of his contemporaries. The author traces the evolution of the artist's career as well as the development of his signature style, ultimately positioning Atterbury's work within the context of broader art movements of the past and present. Throughout, the author includes evocative quotes from Atterbury's letters which bring the story of his life and work to life. This multifaceted overview presents a deeply personal insight into this underappreciated artist and at the same time invites readers to question their own perceptions of beauty and artistic merit. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
