Laminated Pictorial Boards. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket As Issued. Maraja (illustrator). First Thus. This copy of The Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by Maraja. The book was published by Duell, Sloan and Pearce in 1965 and appears to be a First Edition of sorts. It's not an ex-library copy but it has had its problems. A previous chiild owner printed her name diligently on the front loose end page in ink, then crossed it out in pencil. Perhaps because she discovered the place at the back of the book where she actually WAS supposed to write her name. But the biggest problem was that when I bought the book, the book was loose from the front cover. I have taped and glued, and the book is in much better shape now. I wouldn't play football with it, but it does seem to be holding quite nicely. Had the book not been such a neat book otherwise, I never would have bothered. It's a 9" by 12 1/4" hard cover book with laminated pictorial boards. The book has 120 pages that include a Table of Contents . . . and Marjara's beautiful illustrations on nearly every page. If you're a Wizard of Oz book collector, you can always pay to have the book professionally rebound. It might be well worth your time and money. Thank you!
