Hard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR AND SEPARATELY SIGNED ON THE TITLE PAGE. Publisher's black boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Foxing in places to the top and fore-edges and a couple of rusty marks caused by a paper-clip otherwise a VG+ copy in like D/W. Inscribed by the Author on the FFEP: "To Muriel, with/ love from/ Mike". Mike was Gladys Mitchell's nickname amongst her friends. Also signed by Malcolm Torrie on the title page. The best copy of this title that I have handled. Scarce with these attributes. Laid in is a copy of a photograph of Gladys Mitchell referring to her as "Mike". Photographs/scans available upon request. Signed by Author.
