The title and copyright page show 1885 as the only date. The covers show some light edgewear and moderate soiling. I have placed a fresh mylar jacket on this old book. This copy differs from other copies that we have offered, in that while the color of the cloth appears to be the same this copy has a 1.5" x 2" diamond shaped imprint gilt stamped in the center of the front cover versus the pictorial imprint on other copies. This copy also lacks the advertisements after page 266, and it has different endpapers. We do not believe this to be a rebound copy. the binding appears to be "original".
