Certainly one of the most important narratives from the Civil War. The 6th Wisconsin was part of the famous "Iron Brigade" and is identified as one of the FOX 300 Fighting Regiments. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. No Dust Jacket. Hardcover; no dustjacket, as issued. Well-respected Civil War unit history. Part of the Iron Brigade. Bound in blue decorated cloth. Illustrated with tissue-protected B&W photos, and one fold-out battle map (Gettysburg). Presentation slip (not filled-out) tipped in at the front. Overall, this is a bright, fairly clean copy. There is some age-darkening/discoloration along ~1" of the front board fore-edge (perhaps shows up in the photo a bit better than to the naked eye) , a fairly light ~dime size stain on the rear board, just a couple tiny rub marks. Some very light rubbing at the very tips of the corners. Some age-darkening to the endpapers. The pages are perhaps just a bit age-toned, but less than typically expected.
