Includes material on the circulation of the Geneva Bible in the 1580s, 1590s and 1600s, a lengthy section on Francis Junius, and various editions. As usual there are many illustrations throughout, some by the late Mr Lupton himself, some copied by him from other sources.

When finished in October 1980 this was intended to be the end of the series, but very soon Mr Lupton saw the need for more volumes and in the end at his death in 1996 he had issued a total of 25, with the series still incomplete (material had been put together for a 26th volume).

How he was captured by the Abenaki Indians; his Residence in Canada and Acquaintance with Mademoiselle Carignan and other of the French Nobility, with all that he suffered at the hands of the Governor and Priests; together with an Account of the Remarkable Sequel now set forth by: Lewis Lupton. With map and illustrations including illustrated initial letters for each chapter by the author, creator of the multi-volume History of the Geneva Bible, who was an artist, and whose work appears in a number of early Banner of Truth and some Scripture Union and other contemporary books.
