First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: As New. No Jacket. 1st Edition. "First edition: August, 1995," followed by a number line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2," only. As this is a Random House product, that MAY be the correct number line for the true first printing, though whether copies exist with a numeral "1" at the end of that number line, we do not know. Unread, "as new" trade paperback with no creases, illustrated with plentiful small B&W photos on matte stock and an 8-page center insert of color photos on glossy stock. Pages slightly and evenly age-toned but still flexible and easily read. Strangely enough, the prices don't look too far out-of-line after 30 years -- we suspect they went up a bit from these levels and are now settling downward as the Baby Boomers retire and more material comes back on the market. Nonetheless, please be aware such older price listings can offer nothing but guidelines to RELATIVE value, which is still heavily dependent on condition. The Beatles Bongo drums (illustrated) are valued at $600 in original packaging, the 20-inch plastic toy guitar at about half that. 418 pp. followed by a 16-page "Buyers and Sellers Directory." Reduced from $37.

Other sections are on the Christmas tree, moon poems, including some for children, and - on a more somber note - it ends with a section titled "War - 1914." xv, 159 pp. plus 5 pp publisher's ads.
