"Symbolic Logic" was intended to consist of three parts, Elementary, Advanced and Transcendental as an attempt to popularize Formal Logic and accuracy of thought. ***Very good in glossy card covers. The covers are creased at the edges and the corners, but there are no tears. Very light vertical reading creases to the spine. Internally the book is near fine with no inscriptions or annotations. No creases or tears. Pages white. Spine tight. ***496 pages plus a note on the editor and the type at the back of the book. 226mm x 152mm. ***'During the two closing decades of the last century, Lewis Carroll, the famous author of "Alice in Wonderland", composed one of the most brilliant logic textbooks ever written: a work in several parts titles "Symbolic Logic". Part I was first published in 1896. Part II on which Carroll was working at the time of his death in January 1898 , was never published, and vanished without a trace around the turn of the century. Eighteen years ago Professor W. W. Bartley, III, discovered part of the missing manuscript. Since then he has been able to track down the missing galley proofs and manuscript for Part II.'
