Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardcover, 7 by 4 1/4 inches, 260 pages. Pictorial covers, front and back, have images of hobo like man with sandwich board advertisement. Front cover has some water spotting for about two inches at the top, a small chip at the top corner and is completely detached. rear cover has strong color and light wear, foot of spine chipped 1/8-1/4 inch. Rear outer hinges chipped, though inner hinge is sound. On inside of front cover is the bookplate of w. G. Bowdoin, the author of the book "The Rise of the Book-Plate." On the front endpaper is a warm inscription by the author of one of the stories, Edwin Lefevre, reading, "For Mr. W. G. Bowdoin with the compliments of one thirteenth of the authors. Edwin Lefleur." Lefleur was a wealthy investor who wrote books, fiction but based on fact, on Wall Street and finance. Please note that the front cover is detached.…
