Ebd., geringf. stockfleckig. - Richard Freiherr von Krafft-Ebing (1840 - ?) promovierte 1863 nach Studien in Heidelberg, Zürich, Wien und Prag. 1864 war als Assistenzarzt an der Nervenheilanstalt Illenau tätig, 1869 bis 1971 in Baden-Baden als Neuropathologe, 1972 erhielt er einen Ruf als Professor der Psychiatrie nach Strassburg. 1873 übernahm er das Direktorat der Steirischen Landes-Nervenanstalt zu Graz und die neugegründete Professur für Psychiatrie an der Universität, 1885 kam eine Klinik für Neuropathologie dazu. 1889 wurde er an die Universität Wien berufen. Neben zahlreichen Aufsätzen und Monographien über Psychiatrie und Neuropathologie, verfasste er Lehrbücher der Kriminalpsychologie, Psychiatrie und gerichtlicher Psychopathologie. (Quelle Pagel).
