Seine Truppeneinheit, ein "Sonderkommando der Wehrmacht", untersteht Admiral Canaris und Hitler persönlich. Sie sind dazu auserlesen, als perfekte Russen in Sowjetarmeeuniformen - für jede Einzelheit inklusiv Familienfotos ist gesorgt - hinter die russischen Linien geschleust zu werden, um dort mit Sabotageakten den deutschen Vormarsch zu erleichtern.
