First edition, a very near fine copy in its colorful dust jacket (man on horseback shooting rifle), signed by J. F. Campbell. This copy inscribed by Gladwell Richardson on the free endpaper and dated 1979. Gladwell Richardson was from a family of Indian Traders, and wrote some 300 westerns under the pseudonyms of Maurice Kildare (as this one), John R. Winslowe and others. Jacket is bright and complete with the exception of an expertly repaired chip on lower spine area. Back panel of jacket lists Ward Lock's Western Novels . listing 27 'authors' work. Inscribed by Author(s).
