Pages themselves are clean and unmarked, with some faint marks on title page and the occasional small crease at page corners. Otherwise, a scarce copy in very good condition. Clarke's first book of Poems which includes a few that were later included, in slightly edited and altered versions, in his 1983 book, 'Ten Years in an Open Necked Shirt'. John Cooper Clarke is an English performance poet, who first became famous as a "punk poet" in the late 1970s. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he released several albums. Around this time, he performed on stage with several punk and post-punk bands and continues to perform regularly.
