Structural adjustment. 6. Sustainable development poverty and global competitiveness. 7. Conclusions and suggestions. Bibliography. Index. Globalization is considered as an important element in the reform structure and it also indicates the trend of growing worldwide interconnectedness. The changing international scenario has been advancing with vigour. It embodies integration of international markets for goods services technology finance and to a certain extent labour and also impinges upon the process of structural change underpinned by transformation from agricultural to an industrial economy with critical implications and concomitants for growth equity and poverty. There has been increasing pressure both nationally and internationally to open the economies demand pursuit of the shift from state to market based forces which will affect the relationship ranging from resource endowments to the dynamics of growth use of surplus agriculture and industry and interaction with reference to different socio economic groups and changes brought about by liberalization and globalization. In this book an attempt has been made to review the impact of globalization on poverty with special reference to developing countries. The nature of influence of globalization on the trends of trade transformation and utilization of resources has also been dealt with. A critical appraisal of the policies and programmes pertaining to poverty at different levels has also been attempted and the progress achieved has been reviewed. 344 pp.

Neuware -This project is an approach towards the synthesis and characterization of liquid Gallium filled Indium Oxide nanothermometer by using resistive chemical vapor deposition technique. All the measurements and microscopical studies has been presented by using the concepts of different microscopies like XRD/SEM/EDX/HRTEM and related sample characterization software like Pcpdfwin (XRD-Analysis), Origin (Plotting graphs), Image Tool (SEM Images Analysis) and Digital Micrograph (TEM/HRTEM Images Analysis). The growth methods such as resistive heating chemical vapor deposition (RH-CVD) and growth mechanisms such as vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) and vapor solid (VS) of growing nanotubular structures have been discussed in this report. The HRTEM-EDX measurement along the radial direction of an Indium Oxide nanotubular structure explore the in depth knowledge of the flow of liquid Gallium. These similar observations have not been reported by other authors. The synthesis of metal filled Oxide nanotubular structures may have potential applications in future nanofluid devices. It could be ideal for the semiconductor industry and bio medical fields.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 112 pp. Englisch.

Employment implications of agro based industries in India/Arun Kumar Mishra. 30. Bibliography. 31. Index. India being an agricultural economy setting up industries that make use of the produce of agriculture directly or indirectly are considered more desirable in the context of the economic development of the country. Such a development has a two way effect. First agriculture helps agro based industries to make use of the raw materials directly supplied by this sector. Secondly agriculture facilitates the growth of those type of industries which produce several inputs like fertilizers pesticides and agricultural implements that help to promote the productivity and expansion of agriculture. It is a fact that the agro industries have been playing an immense and crucial role in providing agricultural inputs and machines to the agriculture sector. There has been a lot of achievement in agricultural productivity through mechanisation and modernisation. In this book an attempt has been made to examine various issues and aspects related to agro industries in India. Further factors responsible for development of agro industries have been examined intensively. Efforts being made by the government for strengthening agro industries during Five Year Plans have been analysed systematically. Various yardsticks for further expansion and development of agro industries have been suggested. 472 pp.

The spatial resolution of most space borne Hyperspectral (HSI) sensors is much coarser than the size of the objects being observed. Therefore the measured spectral signature is a mixture of the signatures of the objects in the field of view (FOV) of the sensor. One of the tedious and time consuming tasks related to hyperspectral data analysis is the identification of library candidates. The high spectral resolution can be effectively used to decompose measured spectra into its constituents by way of spectral unmixing. Spectral Unmixing is the process by which the measured spectrum is decomposed into a collection of constituent spectra (or endmembers), and a set of corresponding fractions (or abundances). Thus spectral unmixing allows us to detect and classify sub-pixel target objects by their contribution to the measured spectral signature. The application area includes Agriculture, Forestry, Geology, Hydrology, Sea ice and Water, Environment, Land cover, Mapping, Ocean and Coastal, Military Operations, Geo-explorations, and Bio-sciences.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 264 pp. Englisch.
