Various approaches are proposed to contribute to the identification of the species: keys, descriptive cards and vernacular names. The cards inform about biology, ecology and the distribution, particularly in the Paci?c area, using more than 100 original photographs or drawings and as many detailed maps. Each species is then described in a separate entry, with a photograph or drawing, detailing its biology and distribution in the Western Indian Ocean. The aim of this book is to serve as a contribution to the conservation and management of aquatic communities, but it is also aimed at natural scientists, teachers, researchers, fishermen, and ornamental fish-keepers. 250 pp., 110 color figures, 87 maps, 2 identification keys, br. gr. 8 [160 x 240 mm] [in French].…
