Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Printed in Great Britain. First Printing, 1936 date on the title page. Notes, Index; 260 pages. The original green silk cloth is very good, despite several small bumps and one slight crease; gilt lettering is clear on the gently-bumped spine. The interior… shows a touch of toning but remains bright and is completely clean. The original printed dustjacket has taken all the wear: it is sunned with several serious chips; nevertheless, all text is clearly legible. The spine bears the original price (12s. 6d.). [Please see my five images of the actual book.] There is hardly a question connected with crime that the author does not consider in this interesting book, enlivening his discussion by highly interesting and well-chosen examples. He gives a full analysis of primitive as well as Greek and old German methods in the detection and punishment of crime, and describes his ideas about the judicial procedure of the future and the contribution psychoanalysis will make to it.---Gleaned from the front of the dustjacket, q.v. As with every book from my father's collection, tipped-in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage. All books are wrapped with special care and are shipped promptly with tracking; international sales sent via global priority, also with tracking.
