Unpaginated, illustrated throughout in full color by renowned American book artist John Rae (1882-1963), whose signature (facsimile?) appears on ffep & rear endpaper in black ink, lined through in blue ink…. Orig. published in 1924, this is the Twelfth Edition, nd. With colorful paper over boards, this 12mo (6.00" x 7.50") is in Fair condition: quite clean with the occasional small smudge, unmarked save for former owner's name in neat pen to top of ffep & old gift inscription dated 1928 to half-title page. One page has a short unclosed tear ascending from bottom edge (photo 3). Map endpapers, hinges secure, binding strong & straight. Exterior shows moderate rubbing to extremities, heaviest at corners, joints, & both ends of spine. Some paper loss to center of fore edge side of rear board, center of spine on front board.
