This unique celebration of the capital's felines traces his and her Roman connections, suggested by paw marks set in roof tiles on display at the Museum of London. There is Caspar at the Savoy Hotel, an effigy which helps ward off ill fortune, there are the Whitting relics, including a monument to his cat;and at the Army Museum, the redoubtable Crimea Tom. Even the aisles of Westminster Abbey have know an assortment of cats over the years. For example Biggles, who particularly enjoyed the choral music. At St Paul's a black and white Tom operated from a base in the Dean's House: nothing escaped it's notice, not even on top of the dome. (SL#7B).
