Add to basketEncuadernación de tapa dura. Condition: Muy bien. Valencia en la impresión de Felipe Mey 1618. Folio.20 hojas,1061 pgs, 17 hojas. Completo. Ref Palau vol I pg 236. Salvį 2842. Extremely rare book with a full account of Mohammed“s life and subsequent conquest of the western Mediterranean by muslim troops.Spanish crusade against the Islam is highlited and the conquest of the Granada stronghold by Christian troops in 1492 is described in detail. The "moriscos" revolts during XVI century are described ending up with the final riots of 1609 that led to their expatriation in North Africa. Bleda incited to the expulsión. His writings had a decisive influence in the Inquisition and reinforced the official goal to clean up the spanish society from subversive elements. A clean and fine copy in original brown leather with gilt spine from the library of the Marquis of Grimaldi, state secretary of King Charles III.
