L'auteur qui se cachait sous le nom de plume de Maître Jacobus, était Jacques Replat (1807-1866). Celui-ci, avocat et écrivain savoyard, a écrit sur sa région et son histoire. A partir de 1848, il se lança en politique et devint Syndic (i.e. Maire) d'Annecy, puis député au Parlement du Turin. Il milita alors pour l'annexion de la Savoie à la France, ce qui advint finalement, en 1860. Langue: Français.
