A work of fiction but with facts concerning the goings-on in the hunt field so it is not just entertainment but a bit of education as well. This is the story of Joey the pony and his life at Bramble Farm, the adventures which befell him whilst in Farmer Blake's care, and later when he is sold as a mount for young Susan Strong. Stories of his deeds and misdeeds in the hunting field are admirably supported by b/w line illustrations by T. Ivester Lloyd.
