No Jacket. 1945 edition was published by Central Synagogue of New York in commeration of the Hundredth Anniversary of the founding of the Congregation in November, 1846. Orange/brownish buckram cover on this hardback. One tiny faded out spot near the spine; otherwise this book is pristine both inside and out. (BR) Box 301.

A very good+ copy of the apparent first hard cover edition (no explicit edition or printing statement), lacking a dust-jacket (perhaps as issued). The text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the decorative cloth binding with gilt lettering is astonishingly bright and fresh in appearance. Binding is solid: endpaper gutters are intact. Very slight bias to the binding, as from reading, not damage or poor storage. A brilliant copy.
