Edited with an introduction by Saxe Commins. xix, 669, [6 ads] pp. Binding with a small modest stain near the crown and a bit of soil in on corner of the front cover, topstain with some spotting, very good or better. Nicely Inscribed by Commins on the verso of the front fly: "To my good friend and colleague Huntington Caines[?] from the Headless Editor Saxe Commins Oct. 30, 1945." Commins was an editor at Random House from 1933 to 1957 and worked with some of the 20th Century's great authors, including Auden, Faulkner, Dineson, Eugene O'Neill, Sinclair Lewis, and Theodore Dreiser.
