It first appeared in the anthology, "Winter's Tales 3" (1957), and then in a few other anthologies. After her death in February 1999, Chatto & Windus in the UK issued the story on its own in a little volume with a couple of wood engravings by Reynolds Stone. The following year, Norton came out with this, the first American edition with wood engravings by Michael McCurdy - five full page and many small vignettes, all printed in brown. Lovely little thing. A fine copy in near fine, very slightly grubby dust jacket.
