He was director of the Royal Institute of Navigation, and when young trained with Eric Gi…ll, so no surprise that the woodcut on the title page is also by him. Written in his 20s, this short piece was here published for the first time to celebrate his 80th birthday. Landscape format, 16x24cms, in the original blue and white marbled boards bound with silk tape. Entirely fresh and unmarked copy, with no cover or envelope.
