This is a volume bound in blue cloth, with titles, devices, and Sherman replica signature in gold leaf. The volume is 607 pages, including a three-page Introduction, and is divided into 34 chapters. The List of Illustrations is 35 items, with two of these being maps. Condition is Good, with a number of pages having small tears. The covers are somewhat worn, especially at the extremities. There is light soiling and rain-spotting. The frontispiece engraving of Sherman is in good shape, but the tissue covering has internal tearing.
