With four volumes of the company 'Memorandum of Powers and Protective Clauses', dating from 1908, 1913, 1914 and 1924. Also present is an appendix to the 1927 session 'Containing Extracts from Correspondence, &c.'Each volume is edited by both a company solicitor and parliamentary agent, and contains an interesting record of the internal workings of this British Railway company, founded in 1833.The GWR was the only company to keep its identity through the Railways Act 1921, which amalgamated it with the remaining independent railways within its territory, a period covered by these publications.
