Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a diary of daily thankfulness that came into being after the author became inspired to write down one thing for which she could be grateful each evening. The author, who had been struggling with tiredness and pain, found that this practice helped her to be more thankful and less resigned. The book is filled with quotes from a wide range of sources, including the Bible, literature, and philosophy. The author discusses how thankfulness can help us to live in the present moment and to appreciate the small things in life. She also explores the idea that thankfulness is not just a feeling but a way of living that can transform our hearts and minds. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

1st edition. An anthology selected and annotated by Helen C. Hughes and Mary Hodgkin. "Each prayer is headed with a quotation from itself which strikes the keynote of the whole passage. Pp.viii/102, light spotting to endpapers. Blue cloth, slight wear to top and tail of spine. VG.

G. ** Mary Hodgkin (1882-1956) was born in a very affluent Quaker family of Darlington in County Durham, North East England.
