Inscribed at the half-title: "to the students who / enter this office / Albert H. Friedlander." Friedlander's "Cultural Contributions of the German Jew in America" constitutes the fifth essay in the book. From the library of Rabbi Bruce Goldman, also attached to Columbia University in a rabbinical advisory capacity. A VG/G copy: evidence of removal from the verso of the front endpaper, probably of a bookplate; mild pulling to the adjoining signature from the removal; solid binding, clean cloth, unmarked text; chipped and sunned wrapper with a chalked "H" to the foot of the spine. Signed by Author(s).
