Unnumbered final page explains this is a special subscriber edition for the Limited Editions Club, which "consists of twenty-five hundred numbered copies, of which this is number 1020 and this copy is signed by Everett Gee Jackson and inscribed by Jean Hersholt." This set comprises of: 'The Sleeping Beaut…y in the Wood' by Charles Perrault. Translated from the French by P. H. Muir. This edition consists of 2500 numbered copies of which this is number 950. With twelve watercolour illustrations by Sylvain Sauvage. Collated complete. 'The Tale of Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves', being literally translated from the Arabic into French by J. C. Mardrus; and then translated into modern English by E. Powys Mathers. This edition consists of 2500 copies of which this is number 950. With beautiful colour illustrated paste-downs and free endpapers. Consisting of a frontispiece, nine full page illustrations and several vignette illustrations throughout by Edward Ardizzone. Ink signature to the limitations page of 'Ali Baba' and pencil signatures to the limitations page of 'the ugly duckling'. Slipcase is a trifle rubbed.
