Introductory text briefly describes Lewis and Clark's famous westward expedition of 1804-1806 and background information about the upcoming Lewis and Clark Exposition. Most of the text briefly summarizes the different industries and attributes of Oregon. Descriptions promote Oregon's scenery, exports, fisheries, forestry, irrigation, livestock, agriculture, and climate, among others. There is also a section that concisely summarizes the attributes and revenue of different Oregon counties such as Baker County, Benton County, Coos County, Douglas County, Gilliam County, Harny County, Josephine County, Klamath County, Lake County, Lincoln County, Marion County, Multnomah County,Tillamook County, Umatilla County, Wallowa County, Wheeler County, and Yamhill County.
